Coalescentrum is located in Waterloo region of Southern Ontario, Canada. It is deeply rooted in the center of Canada’s Technology Triangle that derived its name from the longstanding reputation of innovation.

When the company was incorporated in 2009, the founders were inspired by two Latin words "coalescence", which means "uniting and growing together into a bigger entity", and "centrum", which means "center". They combined the two Latin words and named the company "Coalescentrum".
